Meet Us: Zane and Mindy Holscher
We’re adventurers at heart, with a passion for storytelling, but our journey took an unexpected turn when the world stood still during the pandemic. What started as creative dinners and blind tastings around our table soon blossomed into something more—a bold, unwritten quest: owning a vineyard. Within six months, we transformed from casual wine lovers into vineyard owners, driven solely by our shared love for wine and the support of friends who believed in our dream—completely unbound by tradition or the expectations of others. |
The Birth of VINUV (2020)
After an exhaustive search across the globe, we found the perfect opportunity in Uco Valley, Argentina—a small but exceptional vineyard growing Malbec and Merlot, which had been producing high-quality wines for nearly a decade. For us, it was more than just a piece of land; it was the missing puzzle in our dream to create something truly special, something that would outlive us. This vineyard embodied our passion for wine and exploration, offering the chance to craft wines that would capture both the essence of the land and our adventurous spirit.
With the purchase of the vineyard, the real work began. We threw ourselves into the day-to-day details of vineyard management, learning the art and science behind sustainable farming. From mastering the rhythms of the seasons to collaborating with our farming team on organic, eco-friendly methods, every step deepened our connection to the process. Building the VINUV brand became a natural extension of these lessons. It wasn’t just about learning the business; it was about creating a brand that aligned with our values—authenticity, community, and innovation.
VINUV is more than a name—it’s a blend of ‘VIN,’ the French word for wine, and ‘Uco Valley,’ the place that now serves as the birthplace of our wines. It symbolizes the rich history of this ancient craft and the terroir that gives life to our grapes.
The VINUV Tribe
To us, more important than the adventure is who we share the special moments with. Every wine we create has its own character, and every pour is an opportunity to share a laugh with someone new or reconnect an old friend. This is the true magic of wine. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or just beginning to explore the world of wine, we invite you join us for a glass.
